I forgot to do a Celebration for my 100th Post because of a project that I used this place for. It actually worked. It was for Language Arts. 10 literary terms on the book you read. I did a movie (my computer crashed. smh.) But this worked! (got a A!) [:

Term 10: (Climax) Conclusion.

highest point in the story.

the highest point in the story is when Willie pulls out a rifile on Robert and threatens to kill him. Peter (Robert's sisters boyfriend) saves him and Willie ceases bothering Robert any further.

A feeling of growing tension felt by the reader.

A feeling of suspense is when willie & his gang jump, tie & strip Robert, put him on a boat in the river & let him float confused & naked.

Term 8: (Conflict)

Main source of drama or tension.

The conflict is Robert avoiding Willie, losing weight & finding a way to spend his summer the right way. Will he? You must read this book.

Term 7: (Character Development)

how the character changes through the story.

Robert becomes more mature & responsible from his job & events that happen in the story like when decides the proper way to deal with the neighboorhood bully, Willie.

Term 6: (Theme)

the message the author is trying to tell you.

the theme of this book is that life is unfair but you can still make it work for you.

Term 5: (Mood)

a feeling throught out the entire story.

I think the mood set troughout this entire book is happiness & bliss because it's set in the summer. Though some parts are sad, the general emotion of this story is meant to make you feel good.

person telling the story.

The Narrartor of this story is Robert Marks. He speaks throughout the entire story! He also makes the most intense parts even more interesting.

Term 3: (Plot)

sequence of events in a story.

The plot of this story is Robert Marks holding a job & finding joy in this boring summer in the 1950's without his best friend beside him.

Term 2: (Setting)

time, place or general enviorment.



The setting of One Fat Summer is the 1950's. Though the Area/State is not specified, alot of events happen here. It's Summer in this book.

The Main Character of this book is Robert Marks. He's slightly obsese but is a very friedly with people. He has a best friend named Joanie. She's gone to NY for the summer which leaves Robert alone & stranded in his tiny suburb. He takes a summer job as working for Dr. Kahn (a docter in his town) by mowing his lawn to keep Robert's time.

Today is Very Sad Day.

Today 8 years ago; we lost a angel. a queen. a blessing. Aaliyah Dana Haughton who unfortunately passed in a plane crash. May her legacy & soul & sweetness live on for all of eternity. Around fall of 2005 I finally realized what an incredible person she was & what amazing music she made. I just listened to one of her songs & in an instant I fell in love. But back in '01; around when I was 5 I was clueless. From Today I still love her music & I hope you feel the same. =]. Thank You For Your Time. R.I.P. We miss You & Love You.
